Cyber Security is a growing concern throughout the world with the ever increasing notorious cyber crimes. And realizing the need for further development in this area, Saily Lad has established Volksara E-Securities as a part of the Krystal Integrated Services in Maharshtra.

Volksara Pvt Ltd is involved in developing the cyber security of various smart cities and further aims to expand their operations works witsmart cities and towards cyber security development into other implementations of IT components such as system integrator. In a nutshell, Volkswara brings about security solutions that make use of upcoming and high-end technology.

Saily holds a BA degree in Strategic Management and Consulting from Nottingham Trent University and  also a MSc degree in Business Consulting from Royal Holloway, University of London. Entrepreneurial ideas run in her blood as Saily’s father happens to be the founder pf Krystal Integrated Services that caters to different need including aviation services, integrated facilities management etc.,

At the age of 12, where every other kid was probably dreaming about toffee, Saily dreamt of establishing her own business one day. The idea of venturing into security services occurred to Lad when she was talking a casual in London with her father. A casual talk about the CCTV cameras installed at different places ignited Lad’s idea to have a better security system than the existing ones. After returning to India, she worked on her idea and conceived it into a full-blown business in no time.

This led us to a discussion on my topic of research – the advantages of electricity produced through water, that we conducted while working on project SEMA. It was a smart city project initiated in the small counties of England. This was when the idea gained momentum, and we began discussing possible scenarios for the Indian diaspora. With the support of my father, these ideas turned into possibilities, and my venture was born. Volksara has been instrumental in the Smart City Project and in fact the project has provided Saily with some good exposure on how this industry works. Her company has a hand in implementing cyber security solutions in many cities throughout India. Since it’s establishment, the company took part in shaping the security of many safe cities like Gondia and Matheran. It also has extended security provision services to smart cities like Nashik, Namchi, and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Saily’s list of prestigious projects include Kumbh Mela, Mumbai airport, Goa shipyard, Goa pipeline and more.

We have also executed a number of projects in the oil and gas industry and at airports – the major one being the work we have done for the Mumbai airport. Here, we installed 85 one-of-a-kind cameras, weighing almost 35 kgs and with 20 lenses in each, spread in a 2.13 km radius. AI (artificial intelligence) was used in it for the purposes of detection for theft from the flight to the belt, checking landing points for aircraft, as well as to issue parking penalties if applicable,” Saily adds.

Saily first gained recognition for her work in the Smart City Project in India as that project helped bag the award for Best Safe City in India. Also, she received the Amit Popal Memorial award for Promising Entrepreneur in the Technology category.

Volksara’s revenue stands at Rs 150 crore as of March 2020 and projections for March 2021 predict a whopping Rs 300 crore. As for the future, Saily has some sky-high plans for Volksara.

We intend to expand into different IT ventures as an SI (System Integrator) which brings together all the different types of technology in hardware and software under one roof and run operations simultaneously and seamlessly. We also set up a production unit for R&D (Research and Development) of new technology products which largely focus on the AI and machine learning industry to bring better and more effective services to our consumers,” she says.
